Dra. Ellen Gielen
Identification
Ellen Gielen was born on the 28th of January 1979 in Genk, Belgium.
Education
In 1997, she finished her secondary grade education (Latin – Sciences) at the Humaniora Onze-Lieve-Vrouwlyceum in Genk.
Between 1997 and 1999, she studied at the Faculty of Sciences at the
Hasselt University (Belgium).
From 1999 to 2001, she studied at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, major Biochemistry, at the Universitaire Instelling Antwerpen (Belgium).
In July 2001, she graduated as Biochemist.
In September 2001, she joined the group of Physiology at the Biomedisch
Onderzoeksinstituut, Hasselt University and Transnationale Universiteit Limburg, School for Life Sciences, Diepenbeek, Belgium, where she is preparing a PhD-thesis in the field of multiple sclerosis.
